Built in 1995, Sacred Hill’s winery is one of Hawke's Bay’s most efficient and advanced wine production facilities. The use of state-of-the-art technology to attain consistent quality and cost effectiveness is a key component of Sacred Hill's wine production strategy. The winery was built with excess capacity to accommodate Sacred Hill anticipated growth.
A combination of old world and new world practices has been adopted by Sacred Hill’s viticultural and winemaking teams. Quality has never been sacrificed to achieve growth in volume – a philosophy that has done much to build and maintain Sacred Hill’s enviable reputation. The Mason family and chief winemaker Tony Bish remain true to their original mission – to produce exceptional wines, no matter what. The many gold, silver and bronze medals won by Sacred Hill since 1995 are evidence that only the highest standards are good enough at this winery.
