The Wine Thief Series

The Wine Thief Series is a range of ultra-premium wines available only from restaurants and Sacred Hill’s cellar door. To be selected for the series, a wine must be recognised as the ‘best of the best’ from its specific region. Together, these wines represent the cumulative skill of Sacred Hill’s winemaking and viticultural team.

The range includes a Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay from our Riflemans Terraces vineyard, a Syrah, predominately sourced from our Hawke’s Bay Gimblett Gravels vineyards and also a Central Otago Pinot Noir.

		2008 Wine Thief Hawkes Bay Chardonnay Enticingly complex aromas of marmalade, nutty nougat characters mingling with citrus blossom. Rich and seamless on the palate with a silky fine texture, sweet citrus flavours and rich full depth. The wine finishes very long with citrus and nougat characters. full winemakers tasting note
		2007 Wine Thief Hawkes Bay Syrah Lifted aromas of black pepper, vanilla, violets and ripe red berries. Very rich soft texture and full palate with fine and supple balanced tannins. Complex and mouthfilling wine with excellent varietal concentration and finesse. full winemakers tasting note
		2008 Wine Thief Central Otago Pinot Noir Beautiful aroma of rosehip, wild thyme, cherry, violets and cinnamon spice. The palate is liquid silk with ethereal flavours of red fruits and vanilla nuances, wrapped up in a velvety texture. Fine and elegant finish with hints of truffles.. full winemakers tasting note
