The Wine Thief Series

The Wine Thief Series is a range of ultra-premium wines available only from restaurants and Sacred Hill’s cellar door. To be selected for the series, a wine must be recognised as the ‘best of the best’ from its specific region. Together, these wines represent the cumulative skill of Sacred Hill’s winemaking and viticultural team.

The range includes a Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay from our Riflemans Terraces vineyard, a Merlot, Merlot Cabernet blend and Syrah, predominately sourced from our Hawke’s Bay Gimblett Gravels vineyards and also a Central Otago Pinot Noir.

		2006 Wine Thief Hawkes Bay Chardonnay Scented aroma of citrus blossom, cashew nut and nuances of tropical fruits. 		2005 Wine Thief Hawkes Bay Syrah Floral sweet fruit and savoury aromas with hints of violets. Rich chewy savoury palate with liquorice and milk chocolate flavours. Black pepper spice, very elegant with textured earthy depth and richness. full winemakers tasting note
		2006 Wine Thief Central Otago Pinot Noir Fragrant aroma with black cherry, thyme and wild strawberry. Complex layered and rich palate with brambly black cherrystone flavours. Seamless structure with excellent length. full winemakers tasting note
		2004 Wine Thief Hawkes Bay Merlot Rich scented aroma with black plum and savoury earthy nuances. Beautifully rich and supple palate with black fruits, hints of new leather, slightly gamey and savoury. Very complex and mouth filling with finely structured tannins. full winemakers tasting note
		2004 Wine Thief Hawkes Bay Cabernet Merlot Sweet fragrant aroma with cocoa, new leather, blackcurrant and cassis. Rich deep midpalate structure with ripe berry fruit, liquorice and mocha flavours.
